Peel the skin from 2 Raw / Unripe Mangoes and grate to moderate thickness.
Heat 1 tablespoon Peanut oil to moderate heat and add 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds, 2 stems Curry leaves, 1 teaspoon Garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder, and 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida. Cook under medium flame for five minutes of until all are roasted.
Add the grated Mangoes to the spice mix and cook with lid open and stirring occasionally until the raw smell or moisture is reduced. This may take upto 15 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon Salt and mix gently.
Serve with Rice and Dal as a condiment or eat with Chapathi.
